Q&A with Stephanie Feeney
How would you summarize what you do?
I lead our data & analytics practice. It includes a little bit of everything that matters at Inspire11 – connecting with our clients, ensuring our teams are consistently providing excellent results, & coaching our team.
What work/project are you proudest of and what impact has it made?
We did some really important work with a CPG client of ours during the year of the pandemic, starting in those first days. Grocery demand was in high flux at that point in ways no one had seen in the past. Partnering their team with our data science expertise allowed us to develop a new financial forecast for them and over time, create better predictions for their demand planners. It was a highly relevant project at a very uncertain time in the world.
What’s unique about working for Inpsire11?
We’re at such a unique point in our history: we’ve figured out what works and there is still so much to build! It makes it a very exciting time to be in that mix of momentum – and not something many people get to experience professionally.
How has your background shaped how you think, relate to others, and conquer challenges?
Though consulting has become my career, it is not how I started. I came up in the industry and found myself in professional services amidst a career change, graduate school, and a lot of traveling. That time helped me know how our clients operate, appreciate that things change, be prepared and that you’re never done learning – about your job or the world around you.
What does “inspiring a better tomorrow for all” mean to you?
We’re in a time where the world changes faster every day than it did the day before. That can be challenging, for people and organizations – but it also creates more opportunities to shape what tomorrow looks like. We want to be here as our client’s partner to unlock those possibilities.
Describe how you’ve grown professionally since you started working for Inspire11?
Working at Inspire11 has allowed me to accelerate my career. When you have the opportunity to actually build the company that you’re working for, you get to learn so much – and very quickly! I’ve had the opportunity to see the ins and outs of how organizations function and flourish, and more importantly, I’ve been able to influence the design of our company.
How do you turn it up to 11?
I figure things out. Whatever the challenge – however big or complicated – there’s a way through to the solution. Getting there really energizes me.
If you have to be odd to be an Eleven, what makes you odd?
It’s either the collection of jigsaw puzzles or Legos that I own.
What’s your motto or personal mantra?
We’ll figure it out.
What’s one item you can’t live without?
Coffee.
What advice would you give someone who wants to enter your field?
The two most important things in consulting are solving problems and building trust with your clients and teams. How you solve them will change over the years, but outcomes and relationships are evergreen.
